Childhood Epilepsy Care
Why This Mission Is Personal
Sidharth Joseph — "Sid" — lived with epilepsy and was lost to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) at the age of 20. His family's own experience with epilepsy gave them a personal understanding of the condition, and of how much difference access to timely medical care can make.
That understanding shapes every part of this mission.

Emotional and practical support for the child and family.
Continued monitoring to ensure treatment stays effective.

Advanced Epilepsy Care
For select children living with drug-resistant epilepsy, SJF works alongside appropriate epilepsy centres, neurologists and neurosurgeons to make advanced, potentially life-changing treatment possible — including epilepsy surgery.
A Life Changed
An infant from an extremely poor family underwent epilepsy surgery at CMC Vellore with SJF's support, and has since become seizure-free. Full details to be published once appropriate consent has been confirmed with the family.
